A LIZARD'S TAIL
O is for Old Man Ocean
Old Man Ocean can often be heard muttering to himself. "Wash the shore. Wash the sand. Pile it here. Pile it there. Smooth it out. Roll the rocks. Roll the shells. Wash the shore. Wash the sand." His voice is a constant soothing background noise at Stone Wall in the Garden by the Sea.
The ocean is always a peaceful sound.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea, I could hear the rhythm of the sea from those words.
ReplyDeleteI misread this - murmuring instead of muttering - but either match the words and actions of the sea.
ReplyDeleteHi Bish - love Old Man Ocean's constant repetitive mutters ... I'm so glad he's gentle - until the big bad wind rises ..
ReplyDeleteCheers Hilary
This old man sounds like he has a very tedious job. What keeps him motivated?
ReplyDeleteYou cannot imagine how much I miss 'Old Man Ocean' and his lovely call. You have made this sound so enchanting.
