A Medley, Mixture, and Hodgepodge of Miscellanea

I'm kind of copping out today because I just don't seem to be in the mood to blog about anything serious.

284 years ago today, George Washington was born.
He said, "If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter."

It's also National Margarita Day, so let's raise our glasses to George.

AND, it's National Walk Your Dog Day.

Lastly, in honor of Black History Month, I give you jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins.

Although he was not born in the Virgin Islands, he has family there and his most famous song is called, "St. Thomas." I hope you'll take a few minutes to listen to this original recording made in 1956.

Being Thankful
Today I'm thankful for dogs.
Here are  a few I've had the pleasure to know.

What are you thankful for? Ever heard of Sonny Rollins? Are you giving a toast (margarita or otherwise) to George? Do you forgive me for being so lazy?
