C is for...

Welcome to my 7th Challenge. Thank you Arlee Bird!  I know a certain Brit with a certain dog, who's a modest internet star, who thinks we are all crazy for doing this. So I'm doing something off the wall and a bit different just to put a smile on his face (and yours too I hope) and her muzzle if they so happen to stop by.

It's all about the A to Z of:

Shakespearean Insults
First Folio

Today's insult: Thou art a CHURLISH shard-borne pigeon egg.

AND

Surrealist Compliments!
Alexa szlavics oilpainting

Today's compliment: You have the intrepid appeal of a CARNIVOROUS apple on its way to a pile of CADAVERIC stones.

May they cause you to smile.
May they lighten your day and help you take things less seriously.
Pass them on if you would like.
Make up your own and share in the comments.

I decided to join this monthly bloghop because answering thoughtful/challenging questions is one way to expand one's mind. Hosted by Michael D'Agostino at A Life Examined ,  the question this month is coincides with the letter C of the A to Z Challenge.

The question is:
What’s your favourite thing that begins with C?

Well, the first things that pops into my head is, what else, chocolate! How much you wanna bet I'm not the only one?

  1. Good grief - that compliment almost sounds insulting! Looking forward to tomorrow's offering already. :)

  7. Chocolate is a favorite of mine too :) Its kind of nice we don't talk like they did in Shakespeare's time; our insults don't seem quite as cruel.

  11. I'm enjoying your theme.

My favorite C word is Children... and chocolate, because you can't deal with one without the other, imho. :)

  13. I've always loved the word churlish. Shard-borne gave me pause. I guess that has to do with a difficult and painful delivery for the poor pigeon. Zwounds!

  14. Love that insult! Shakespeare makes for the best insults, that's for sure.

  15. Candy, or Cookies or Cake are the first words to come to mind, but then I read Jen's comment and felt a tad bit guilty, so I'm changing mine to children, too. :)

  17. Nope, a lot of people picked chocolate. Alex Cavanaugh went all higher power and philosophical and chose Christ.

  20. I'm annoyed by my weakness for chocolate. I have a whole carton of Lindt blocks right next to me and I'm looking at them longingly.
