Blog Schedule

I post on Monday with an occasional random blog thrown in for good measure. I do my best to answer all comments via email and visit around on the days I post.

Reflections on a Golden Sty...

So... we who were foolish enough to take up the challenge are now asked to reflect upon our experience. The letters are all golden yellow and sunflowery. My brain is a sty, a muddy mire of other things I could have been doing.

Hence, the Golden Sty.

I have survived another April. Number 6, as a matter of fact. Every year I keep saying it's going to be my last.

I whined about it to Klahanie (who hates the challenge) and asked him, PLEASE if I contemplat doing it again next year would he immediately send over Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star to bite me on the ankle.

Certainly I can think of other things to do with my April. Can't I? But Lord help me (and this is the truth) I already have a great idea for next year's challenge.

Quick, Penny, bite me on the ankle! Wake me up from this nightmare!

What about you? Will you do it again or is this for sure your last time? (I mean it, really, this is my last A to Z Challenge.)

  1. Glad you still enjoy doing A-Z. Six times is a lot to do it. I enjoyed your posts that I stopped by to see. I don't think I'll ever do the A-Z. It doesn't fit with our blog and it'd be too much blogging for me.

  2. Too late! You have an idea. Now you must run with it.

  3. Oh, I'll be back. Next year #4 for me. I have learned a lot about blogging, the look of things, what works, what needs new creative thinking. It has helped my writing, and I love the preparation for each post. They say if you want to be a better tennis player, play with someone who is better than you. The Challenge has been that 'better player' for me. You are that better player for all the new folks. Think about it!

  4. I'll probably do it again. I have trouble keeping up with regular blogs, so blogfest is the way to go.

  5. Six times is a lot, Bish. I'm wondering if Penny will have the desired effect for you next year or if you'll succumb? I think I'll take bets. :-)

  7. I have to admit, I did the 'Challenge' once, and it was not for me. BUT, I hope you keep it up. I really enjoyed you short, fun, and intriguing posts this year. It was a great way to promote your book without being obnoxious. I really want to read it now that I feel so close to the characters.

Great job, Great Accomplishment. Give yourself a pat on the back and forget about that bite on the ankle.

  8. If you say you're not going to do next year's Challenge I may come and bite you in the ankle. I think I'll go bite Gary too. If I bite Penny then that would be news.

  9. I've done it twice and I think that's enough for me for a while.

  10. I have enjoyed your posts this year. The story has intrigued me. AS for my A-Z, this is my first year. I don't believe it'll be my last. Who knows? Maybe I'll step up my game next year and do the challenge from two blogs total. Like you, I've got ideas for next year and I plan to step out of my comfort zone and do the challenge different than how I did it this year. I.E. Finding a specific topic to blog about.

  11. I won't say never, but I think once was enough for me. I loved meeting new bloggers, but it was a ton of work and left me burned out for a while.

  12. Six times??? Wow! I am an a-z abstainer. That said, I too have an idea for next year, if I dare.

  14. Hello there.
Congratulations on completing your sixth challenge! This year was only my second. I'm not sure I'll be back for a third...it's just too tiring and consumes more energy than I have lately;-)
With six year under your belt, you have enough experience to co-host/be a helper/minion! (lol)
    Thanks for sharing.

  16. Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar is thinking of having a "Bite the Human's Ankle" Blog Hop.

Of course, this is the last ever year of that idiotic alphabet thing. So, there you go....

    Penny's pawtend human,
