This year it's all about the
The A to Z of
A LIZARD'S TAIL
A LIZARD'S TAIL
In which I will describe, show pictures of, and otherwise expound on plants and animals mentioned in the novel.
Y is for Yowl
"Up on the hillside a cat yowled."
Shades of Dylan's song All Along the Watchtower
"Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl..."
It's ominous.
Cats yowling wake me up regularly at night.
ReplyDeleteYou picked one of my favorite words. :-)
ReplyDeleteAlways a weird sound to hear.
ReplyDeleteThat word tries, but never captures the haunting sound of an animal in the night. Dylan's song, however, does along with the sound of the wind.
ReplyDeleteAlmost done, Bish.
A cat yowled and meowed, hey thats rhymes!
ReplyDeleteYowl, great word. :)
ReplyDeleteTalk about giving me the creeps? This idea of a cat yowling reminded me of hearing a Mountain Lion in the wild. Truly a sound you never forget. That was some mighty yowl.
ReplyDeleteYowl is a great word!
ReplyDeleteYow! I like that word. You've been doing this six years? Does it get easier?
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm dropping in from a shout out to your blog from Rosie Amber's blog https://rosieamber.wordpress.com/.
