Blog Schedule

I post on Monday with an occasional random blog thrown in for good measure. I do my best to answer all comments via email and visit around on the days I post.

I is for Inner Brass

For this, my fourth year doing the challenge, I've decided to share place names from the Virgin Islands. For such a small spot in the ocean, it seems like every rock, cove, hill and house has been christened. The names are a unique mix of Spanish, Danish, French, Dutch, English, and African to name a few.

Inner Brass

Inner Brass is the island to the left. Outer Brass is to the right.
This picture was taken from Hull Bay, St. Thomas

Indian Inscription Point, is the eastern most tip of Congo Cay. There are Taino Indian petroclyphs on the rocks.

Other I names:
International Plaza, St. Thomas a building down town with shops and such.
Isaac Bay, St. Criox

  1. Love those photos. Wish I could get into one of those boats and sail I to that distance!

  3. Very impressed at how they managed to carve on those rocks, looks like it would be pretty tricky.

Yes, I'm just getting back into blogging again when I can. Got overwhelmed with edits.

Sorry you can't comment on my blog! Did you click on the post title and look at the bottom of the post? It took me a while because it's a wordpress site and not blogger which I was so used to! Either way, I love visiting your blog!

  6. I love the idea of being able to pick an island and journey out to it. I'm really ready for that kind of adventure.

  14. Wow, I love all of those 'little' boats moored in that bay. Over here the boats on the moorings are a whole lot bigger. Course STX doesn't have as many out islands that you can get to easily in a small boat either.

  15. Lots of boats in the water. That rock looks imposing and lonely at the same time.
