Do you over use anxious? Do you have a favorite word or phrase to use in its place? Are you an anxious person?

  1. So many new words here, thanks!

  2. Whoa. That's a comprehensive list. Do you eat dictionaries as a side dish with meals? :)

  3. That's one heck of a list! Geeked - I like that one.

  4. It's a pet peeve of mine when people use "anxious" when they mean "eager." Still, eagerness can make one anxious, I guess. :)

  5. Wow, you've covered all possible permutations of the meaning, from mild to extreme. Thanks!

  6. I just cannot think of another word! I do tend to use angst occasionally. I wonder if that derives from the same root as anxious?

  7. Whoa, that's some list! And thanks for the laugh on the video (sooooo need the laughs)

  8. Outstanding list of words! So helpful. Just goes to show how many other ways there are to say the same thing! Thanks for the laughs too! :)

  9. As always, you astound me. And that video was the BEST. Thank you for sharing.

  10. That is an incredible amount of alternatives.

  11. These are great alternatives considering that all writers put their characters through anxiety-inducing situations.

  12. I don't use 'anxious' very often, but I love all these words you've listed here. These are great! And that video is a hoot!
