Like, You Know?

Lest we forget the importance of speaking and writing properly. Check out this great poem by Taylor mali.

  1. What a wonderful way to start this day - as I'm about to be a judge in a speaking competition at the University today! MORE CONVICTION!!!

  6. Thanks everyone! Yes, do pass it on. I copped it from Karen Hooper over at Eternal Moonshine of a Daydreaming Mind. The more exposure it gets the better.

  8. That was cool. I love humor that provokes serious thought. I think we put question marks at the end of sentences these days because we're really not supposed to hold firm truths. What's true for me isn't true for you, we have to be PC and not offend anyone, blah blah blah. The question mark at the end is testing the waters: Does this person seem to accept what I'm saying? They may not, so I have to be careful to always imply it's my opinion, and tentative for anyone but me.
