A Moment of Silence

I'm not in the mood to blog today. My heart is aching for all the suffering going on, not just in Paris, but in the world. So much anger. So much violence. So much hatred.

I pray for compassion. I pray for peace. I pray that I can continue to be grateful.

  3. Hi Bish .. Friday's events are beyond belief - well almost ... so so tragic for so many and for those left behind, or those who suffer now til they heal ... I struggled to blog - but something came to mind ... so I posted - normally I cannot. With thoughts to all who hope for peace throughout the world ... Hilary

  6. Ah, my sweet friend you are so thoughtful, it's no wonder that you feel such a great sadness. These type of events are hard of the gentle hearts of the world. I feel at times like this, it is important for those gentle hearts to sing out in glorious unison, so as not to let the ugliness that exists in the world today win. It's hard, and sad, and absolutely heartbreaking, but the triumph of spirit that does exist deep down in the this world has to be applauded and praised.

Try not to let the darkness get you down, for it is because of the darkness that we appreciate the light.

May we all find peace in our hearts.

  7. It kills me that some people can be so violent, so careless, so thoughtless. But I'm equally awed by the compassion, the love, the outpouring that follows. Here's to the human spirit and fighting for others!

  8. A few days later and I'm still in shock. I don't understand how anyone can live with themselves after such atrocities as these.
