And an unwelcomed one too, I might add.
In the wee hours of Friday morning the 27th I got quite sick and had to go to ER. I thought it might be another case of intestinal blockage, like what happened back in May. But no, it wasn't.
By 9 AM Saturday the 28th I was under the knife and having my gall bladder removed. It was blockage of a sort, a stone blocking the bladder duct. I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone.
I was sent home Sunday afternoon.
I had plans for the month of October, it being my blogaversary month, with a bunch of book give-aways. Plus there were things to be done with Anansi.
But I need a while to recuperate. I'm in a bit of pain, I'm tired and weak and not sleeping. I need to eat, but nothing is really appealing to me.
So I'm off the blogs for a while folks. Off Facebook too. Sitting hear typing this is pretty much sucking energy out of me.
Be assured... I'll be back. I just don't know when.
Ohhhh my! All best as you heal.
ReplyDeleteBish, I'm sorry! Pray you heal quickly.
ReplyDeleteAw, Bish. That's just awful. My mom had to have gall bladder surgery too ... I am praying for a quick recovery. You take good care.
ReplyDeleteRest and take care, Bish. We'll be here when you've recovered!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and writing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines
Oh...scary! Glad you're OK. Wishing you a speedy recovery. We'll all be here.
ReplyDeleteOuch, I hope you get better soon. My wife went through this eight years ago, she was rushed in very suddenly but then was in for a month. Have a good rest and look forward to seeing you back in full force!
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself! I'll say some prayers for you.
ReplyDeleteOh Bish, I wish there was something I could do for you. Just rest until you feel better. I'll send you some virtual chicken soup. I don't know why, but chicken soup usually cures everything. Okay, I'll send a couple of prayers and some meditative chants for healing too.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry this happened. I'm wishing you well and that you recover soon. Get plenty of rest.
ReplyDeleteGood thing you went in when you did. Sit still and heal. Read a lot. The blogosphere will still be here when you get back.
ReplyDeleteOh, Bish! So sorry to hear about your recent surgery. You take care and get lots of rest. I'll say prayers for you.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, Bish. Please take care and be well soon.
ReplyDelete=( That's not cool--the unexpected twist, that is. Your break is totally acceptable. Heal up woman, and take your time, eh?
ReplyDeleteI hope you get better soon! Take it slow and easy until then. *hugs*
ReplyDeleteOh no!! I hope you mend quickly and as painlessly as possible!
ReplyDeleteOh, no...so sorry, Bish. I haven't had this, but my husband did, and I know it's awful. You rest up and heal, and we'll see you later. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you are healing, Bish.
ReplyDeleteBish- I am so sorry that you had such a bad time with your gall bladder. I know 3 people who had to have theirs removed and all were in terrible pain (one was my mom). I hope your recovery is fast and that you can find some food that appeals to you soon. Sending you warm wishes!

Yikes, Bish that sounds awful! Sorry to hear about this "unexpected interruption" and hope you're soon well on the road to recovery and back blogging! :)

So sorry to hear this, Bish, but I'm glad to know you've gotten treatment and that you'll be resting.
ReplyDeleteOh my word that must have been terrible! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteHope your recuperation is coming along well. You are missed.

You poor thing, Bish! I hope you have a speedy recovery and get back to 100% soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. Been there and done that. I promise once you recover from the surgery, you will feel better than ever. I'll be back looking for my island fix. Feeling a bit homesick as winter approaches.
ReplyDeleteSO sorry to hear you're not doing well. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI did not know where you were! I noticed you were inactive--thought you were away. But, oh boy. Gall bladders can really cause amazing pain. Take care. Rest. Rest some more.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're done with that surgery and that you're well enough to return.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway, Bish. I'd have to choose group 2 because I have books from the other two groups.
