Welcome to my 7th Challenge. Thank you Arlee Bird! I know a certain Brit with a certain dog, who's a modest internet star, who thinks we are all crazy for doing this. So I'm doing something off the wall and a bit different just to put a smile on his face (and yours too I hope) and her muzzle if they so happen to stop by.
It's all about the A to Z of:
Shakespearean Insults
Today's insult: Thou art a foul THIMBLE full of TOAD venom.
AND
Surrealist Compliments!
Today's compliment: The wonders of your pendulous THORAX makes cellists envious of the TAWNY sounds emanating from your nose in D minor.
Brilliant insult today! No too sure about that compliment though. :)

ooo - Toad venom! Love that. It reminds me of a time I walked over the railway lines on the way home with a friend. We were about 12. There were a bunch of kids across the way hurling abuse at us and then came a dead toad. I screamed and ducked. My friend caught it and buried it.
ReplyDeleteGreat quotes.
Beware the venemous toad. Now I'm off to make some tawny nose sounds.
ReplyDeleteDoubling up on the T words, eh?
ReplyDeleteA thimble full of toad venom? Interesting...
ReplyDeleteShakespearian insults? Wonderful! I've been looking for new swearwords for my characters - I can adapt these :D

Truly love the compliment, not sure the thimble is enough of an insult! LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Bish - they are so funny .. wonderful combinations ... and the thimbleful could be pretty dangerous ... deadly not insulting ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteA thimble of toad's venom is an insult, yes! Chuckles for the lighter mood Bish!

Toad venom.....gotta love it. Sometimes a thimblefull may not
ReplyDeletebe enough. LOL
Hmmm, I tried to display the tawny sounds emanating from my nose for the benefit of my cat and she did not return the compliment. If I interpreted her look correctly there was toad venom headed in my direction. Oh dear.
ReplyDeleteYou did elicit a smile from me and I loved the surrealistic image. Don't know if I'll ever have an opportunity to use the insult, but I can think of a few of my friends who might enjoy it even if I directed it their way.
