Soul Cutter and The Ghosts of Aquinnah
Blog-hop and Giveaway!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Beaches of Hawaii? Slopes of Vail? Cancun, Paris, or Rome?
Where is your Dream Destination?
My dream destination is Scotland. Why? Because my ancestors came from there and I'd love to walk the land they walked and the places in between. I love their stubborn independence, tenacity and resiliency. Just think... the ROMANS, the conquerors of the world, couldn't subdue or "civilize" the Scots so they built a wall to keep them out.
I'd like to spend a month or two... Consequently I couldn't pick just one picture.

That was Lexa's choice as well. You'd dig it, Bish. Very beautiful country. Has a magical feel to it.
ReplyDeleteYou and Lexa can go together. Great pics! How can you NOT want to go there after collecting those! All the great hikes you can take and countryside picnics you can enjoy there!
ReplyDeleteHope you do end up going there soon! Go for it! I decided to finally go to my dream place! I've waited long enough.
Great pictures! Scotland would be a neat place to visit. I'd like to see the castles.
ReplyDeleteSecond time I'd seen Scotland and yes I'd also love to travel there. I love their accents and the beauty of the land. Maybe, some day...wishing upon a star.

What fabulous pictures! (I'd say you have a great shot at that "special prize"!)
ReplyDeleteScotland holds a special place in my heart, too. My father and his family emigrated here from Scotland, and my grandmother told me such enchanting stories about her life there, I could practically smell the heather.
Bish,
ReplyDeleteThese are some awesome pictures! My fave is the one with the sky as backdrop to the castle.
That's it! I want to go to Scotland, too. Your pictures have convinced me ;-D
ReplyDeleteNow I want to go to Scotland even more!! It's just remarkable that those great old castles are still standing. Just look at the flying buttresses on that chapel, and the castle in the lake is incredible! I hope we both get to go there for real someday. Thanks so much for joining in the hop! :-)
ReplyDeleteSo you will enjoy reading How the Irish Saved Civilization by Cahill :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to Jerusalem.
I have some Scottish ancestry too and I'd also love to visit Scotland one day! Especially Edinburgh, which looks like such a gorgeous city. :)
ReplyDeleteI would also love to visit Scotland! The photos are absolutely breathtaking! I might have a problem seeing men in kilts though, as many of them probably have better legs than I do!
ReplyDeleteJulie
Gorgeous pictures. I'd like to go in the spring and summer and see that beautiful green landscape.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice! I think you and Lexa were dreaming the same dreams today. I hope you get to go someday.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I didn't know the place.
ReplyDeleteUg. I got through about half of these images and started begging for it to stop. Fine. I'll repair my teleportation device. And then my time stopper. Must visit...
ReplyDeleteAwesome pictures. Especially the one of Dunnottar Castle. I commented on one blog today that we have so many people who want to go to Scotland, we should all pitch in and charter a plane.
ReplyDeleteI would go to England or Israel. Love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteIt's so incredibly blue AND green. Looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get there someday. I hope I get there someday too.
