Today's word is:
And I’m not talking about drilling… Personally I don't think I've ever been bored -- boring maybe, :) but never bored. I have become frustrated when I couldn't do something because of time constraints, lack of materials, lack of money, etc. There have certainly been times when I have become disinterested in something I was doing/seeing/listening to etc. In those cases I've moved on to something else. But bored? There's just too much to do, too many things to learn, places to go, books to read. I personally have never understood how/why people get bored.

ReplyDeleteOr you could go for a metaphor...
ReplyDeleteAs exciting as dingy bath water slurping down the drain. :P
Welcome to the group! :)
August co-host and IWSG #110
Or would that be a simile? LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea- I love synonyms. I tend to use the same words over and over. For some reason the word eyes keeps popping up in my work. Have no idea why.
ReplyDeleteI alternate activities when I'm bored.
ReplyDeleteFuddy-duddy sounds old-fashioned, but I like that expression.
All of those words describe my drive today to and from my seminar. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI don't usually get bored. I do if I'm performing some repetitive task - especially one that I don't especially enjoy anyway. Or if I'm waiting someplace and don't have a book.
ReplyDeleteHi, Bish,
ReplyDeleteI've always liked vapid. By the time I get bored, I decide to move on to something else.
Ha ha ha...It irritates me how kids today say way to often..."I am bored!" Guess life has become less 3D for them. Love your list!
ReplyDeleteNot long-term, bored-with-life bored. It's possible to get bored with a specific event that isn't holding your interest but that you can't walk out of. But that's over with in a relatively short time. Otherwise, I'm with you. And I think if a person is often bored, or bored in many situations, chances are they are *boring* themselves.
