Writing Prompts - Rewriting

This one's fun.

Take a well known story or fairy tale and write it from a different character’s POV.

Little Red Riding Hood from the wolf's POV.
Cinderella from the prince's POV or from the step-mother's or one of the step-sister's
Snow White from the POV of one the dwarfs. Grumpy's would be funny.
Jack and the Bean Stalk from the perspective of the giant.

The list is endless.

  1. That's the beauty of writing. Anything is possible.

  2. I love this one. My kids had a great picture book of The Three Pigs done from the wolf's perspective and it used to crack us all up. Garrison Keillor did a great rewrite of Snow White with a PC heroine very sympathetic to her aging stepmother. Very funny.
