Yesterday was a kind of odd day and I really didn't know if I wanted to share it. But today I feel a bit differently and so it goes under the Random Thought heading.
Yesterday was the 20th anniversary of my father's death. It was also the 19th anniversary of my uncle's death.
My father and my mother's brother, were like oil and water. That in itself isn't so odd. In-laws are notorious for not getting along very well. So I guess we were all lucky that these two rather opposite men somehow managed to tolerate being in each other presences.
What is odd is that they died on the same day, exactly a year apart and that they died of the same thing, liver cancer.
There really isn't anything more to say except...your families still miss you both.
That is an odd coincidence.
ReplyDelete*hugs*
((((hugs)))) No matter how long they've been gone, loved ones will always be missed.
ReplyDeleteThat is an amazing story about them.
Wow--that is a strange coincidence.
ReplyDeleteThat is an odd coincidence.
ReplyDeleteMy parents are both gone now. I think about them on their birthdays -- so sad to have birthdays you can no longer celebrate -- and on the anniversaries of their deaths. And like you, I miss them so much.
(((HUGS))) Bish.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late, but here's a big {{{HUG}}} for you...
