There are things I need to get done.

An AnnouncementI've been quiet about my writing for some time, as I tend to hold my writing cards close to my chest. Suffice it to say, I'm at that stage where I'm about to send my latest book off to my editor, and to get a cover made. I need the rest of this month to get those things going.
Are you curious?
Here's one possible logline: In 1962, on an isolated Caribbean island, two 12 year-olds are haunted by a ghost seeking redemption.
Here's one possible tagline: Two kids and a ghost...A haunting tale from the Virgin Islands.
The Title: The Bowl and the Stone

Being Thankful
Today I'm thankful for a little time off to move one step closer towards publishing my next book.
What are you thankful for? Are you taking a break any time soon? Won anything lately? How are you at writing tag and/or loglines?
Great news, Bish. Wishing you a fun packed month and look forward to hearing more about your upcoming novel. Take care.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on moving closer to getting your book published. Hope you have a productive month!
ReplyDeleteAnother book - very cool!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Parallels and your break.
I can't imagine co-hosting IWSG right after the A to Z Challenge ended! Enjoy the break and take a nice, long nap!
ReplyDeleteHi Bish - loved your A-Z .. and now good luck with that cover and publication preparation. Love # 2 ... "Two kids and a ghost... Haunting the Virgin Islands"
ReplyDeleteCheers and await June and the announcement - til then all the best .. Hilary
Enjoy the break! Congrats on the win of the book and you getting closer with your next book!
ReplyDeleteI did win a few books on one blog during the challenge that was giving away books; now I have time to read them :)
betty
I'm looking at June as a time get away, so I'm right behind you. So glad you're wrapping up your story and moving ahead to publish. Good luck. Come back refreshed and ready to go.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited you have another book in the works.
ReplyDeleteI heard about your posts from Cleemckenzie and I read your A to Z posts and they were excellent! I laughed at some of the bard's ..er...complements:) I wanted to check out a lot more people but realized I was stressing myself out so I went back to having fun. I am not good at writing tag lines at all but I do like what you posted. Have fun having time off:)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time off!
ReplyDeleteRe-coop and enjoy! Congratulations on all your accomplishments.
ReplyDeleteOh, I especially love that tagline. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm taking a break for a couple weeks and also hoping to get some writing done. I hope you reach your goals this month and have a great break!
ReplyDeleteHave a productive break. Yay on this new project.
ReplyDeleteExciting times! You've got some major prep for publishing ahead of you, eh? Not my favorite part of the journey, but I hope you have a blast with it.
ReplyDeleteI love ghost stories. I know that's silly, but ever since I was little they've fascinated me--the redemptive kind.
Yay! for getting your book ready for publishing. I am certainly enjoying it and trying to finish up for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning a break myself shortly here. Really need to get my groove back with writing and I just need time away from distractions like blogging.
I feel like I should take a break at some point, but I have so much to do!
ReplyDeleteYour story sounds wonderful. :-)
Exciting stuff, Bish - can't say I blame you for needing a break to concentrate on your book. Very best of luck with it.
ReplyDeleteI've returned to weekly blog posts after the Challenge and I'm now planning to sort out my notes in order to write the first draft of my first book.
I've got a short story being published in an Irish anthology next month, and I'm reading at the Cork Literary Festival in July - all of which will get a mention in my blog in due course!

Congrats on the book win, enjoy your break. The book sounds really interesting.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the win! I hope your break is going well. It sounds like the break is much needed- but that you also have things to get done during it. I love the tease you gave us- I am very curious about your new book. Awesome! :)

Congrats on your win! I haven't had that kind of luck lately, but I did have two interviews. Close enough for me. :)
