Approaching rainstorm Lameshur, St. John (Pronounced, La-ma-sure) |
1. A steady rain at night with thunder in the distance. There's something very soothing about it. It's also a sound I miss because of the drought here in Texas.
2. A scoop or two of chocolate ice cream on a hot summer's day.
3. Monarch butterflies. We haven't seen many of them in the last three years. The drought has been hard on them.
4. A seabath at the end of a long day. There really is nothing quite so refreshing.
5. Going for a drive with my Sweetie in Abilene.
What makes you happy?

How do you make it through YOUR day? Need inspiration? Watch this!
Sorry about your lack of rain. Hope some gentle thunderstorms roll in soon.
ReplyDeleteThis whole week has made me happy. The support and it's finally done!
You can have some of our rain from Scotland!
ReplyDeleteLovely list. So many small pleasures ... Watching the squirrels chase each other, reading and writing letters, good books, good writing days, daily Mass, High Mass!, a good and spicy goat curry, ras malai, fresh mangoes ... don't even get me started on food, LOL. It's impossible to just list five ...
ReplyDeleteI feel relaxed already. I've not done more than wade into the ocean, but I did swim in a saltwater pool in Mexico. It was a neat experience.
ReplyDeleteWanting chocolate ice cream now...
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful and I see why they made it on your list.
ReplyDeleteThe video was very humbling. Impressive young man.
ReplyDeleteRain...oh, how we'd love some rain.
Hi, Bish! Wonderful list of things that make you happy.
ReplyDeleteCheese, cheese makes me happy. And giggles. I love little giggles. Floridian sunsets are definitely on that list, and good books. But most of all, my family.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smile!
Greetings human, Bish,
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat car. Don't see many cars like that and especially in England.
Tags are good. My human was tagged and that way the blogger police can make sure he doesn't comment past his curfew. That's why I'm commenting.
I'm happy because my human brother has come home from holiday.
Pawsitive wishes,
Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar! :)
Great list. One thing I'd name is a pile of books, several free hours, and just being able to move from one book to another as I please.
