What a Little Rain Can Do

We've had a little rain. Not enough to break the drought, but it's made things momentarily green. It's a relief to see grasses sprouting and weeds growing. It's also made a few plants in our yard bloom.

Blackfoot daisy.


 Pavonia

Tecoma stans. This plant has been in the ground three years and this is the first time it's bloomed.


Silver cloud sage.

 Oooooo, sweet! I wonder how much more pollen I can pack on.


Let me just go a little deeper.
The bees love the sage and they've been busy, busy, getting ready for winter.

    Gorgeous flowers! Yes, I am TOTALLY read for winter. It was a very hot summer here in Greece this year!

    I take all this rain we get for granted ... but your garden looks so pretty and I do love bees, dusted with pollen.

    I am in a very zen mood ... enjoying this fall, getting work done. Life is good.

    aaaaahhhh, the rain. Such beauty it can bring. Love your garden's color and joy.
    I'm eagerly looking at the dark clouds building outside for a day of promised rain. The air already smells fresh and vibrant.

    Those pictures are gorgeous. Love the bees from this distance. :)

    We haven't had Indian summer yet, and the leaves are coming down like crazy a good two weeks ahead of schedule, so I do feel very much as if fall is HERE and winter is not far off.

    I love those Tecoma stans! All these flowers are gorgeous. Here we're headed into fall. The leaves are changing from green to brilliant oranges, reds, and yellows. I love the orange ones best!

    Oh those are lovely pics. It's still pretty warm here but really nice weather. I love fall in Florida. It's sunny and windy and in the 70s. Perfect weather.
