Alternatives for All

Alternatives is a recurring post in which I give synonyms for an over used word. Click on the tab above for a "complete" list of over used words.

Today's word is: ALL
Depending on how you use it, this list may come in handy for finding another way to say the same thing.

Here are some examples of how we might substitute the word ALL for something else. 


One for en masse and en masse for one!

  4. Holy cow! This is a great list. I just edited an essay that used the word "very" about fifty billion times. "All" is similar.

  7. You mean like, 'On the whole our dreams can come true...' That just about sums up how I'm feeling right now!

    Just is one of my over-used words. I just used it. Then is another one but then people do use then an awful lot when they talk so we've need to make sure that direct speech is believable.
