Texas, My Texas

There's just something about Texas.


When Wyman Meinzer graduated from Texas Tech, he moved back to a ranch near Benjamin so he could begin his photography.
He lived in a dugout for a few months, to be in the middle of the  roadrunners, coyotes, and snakes. 
He is now the Texas State Photographer.

    Absolutely gorgeous. I love the wide open spaces of Texas and those thunderstorms.
    Wouldn't it be cool if a photographer in every state did something like this?

    Wow, I was surprised to see the snow photos - my favorites were the wildlife and the full rainbow.

    I agree with Tricia - it would be fun to see photos from every state.

    Beautiful! This makes me want to come down and get to know Texas better.
    But I hope he used a huge zoom lens to get so up close and personal with those snakes. Eeek.
