People toss bottle caps on the ground, thoughtlessly, and the caps wash down the drains to the sea and end up killing a pelican. I am really happy about this for environmental reasons, too. I bought some at Whole Foods, and I take them with me to the farmer's market, where they have all the food in little baskets lined in plastic. I unload the food into the mesh bag, or in the case of big things like corn and potatoes directly into my wicker basket. They don't have to replace the bag, I don't have to mess with the bag.<br /><br />Remember to wash your reusable bags periodically, though. Bacteria, traces of pesticide, fruit flies - they accumulate.Peni R.
