Great way to introduce our children to the sea, fishing and watersports in general.

There are, for the really big fish, catch and release events and of course, if someone actually catches a record breaking big fish, it doesn't have to happen at a tournament for it to get into the record books.Ervahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10375315470662416500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8433839509609523237.post-60746763367941954472009-06-18T12:40:15.049-05:002009-06-18T12:40:15.049-05:00I love it! It's so satisfying to win something like this against all expectations, especially when you're competing with professionals who have a high opinion of their own skills -- and better or more expensive equipment.

I once won first prize in our Sunday School's tallest sunflower competition. It shows that believing in ourselves and going for it can conquer all sorts of odds or obstacles.
My paternal grandmother had a boat and sometimes we went fishing in the Atlantic. I still have a photo of me at about age six holding a good-size flounder I caught. Love the memories. Thanks for stirring the pot.Tricia J.
