But I don't mind not doing that anymore. It won't be long before we can all go hiking to remote places again.Vijayahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07876606729146077830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8433839509609523237.post-62902426974492120952011-02-10T11:24:01.955-06:002011-02-10T11:24:01.955-06:00Wow! I mean I still go on day hikes from time to time, but back then I lived in the Cabinets Mountains in Montana for 6 weeks. It was probably the coolest thing I have ever done.Matthew MacNishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03264738483763244969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8433839509609523237.post-85289781842478996532011-02-10T08:18:46.313-06:002011-02-10T08:18:46.313-06:00I was moaning to Husband over the weekend that it&...I was moaning to Husband over the weekend that it's been *far too long* since I was in my favourite place on earth: high in the Quathlamba (Drakensberg) mountains there's a basic littel camp called Injasuthi. It restores my soul and brings a sense of utter peace. Am going to have to make a plan to get there again! :)

Loved your hiking photo - looks like bliss!
Judy (South Africa)Judy Croome | @judy_croomehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17455755011354905278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8433839509609523237.post-34111193182837808752011-02-10T08:08:11.155-06:002011-02-10T08:08:11.155-06:00What an adventure!

It was amazing and just so beautiful and pristine.
Also, as a teen lived on a sailboat for a week (with a captain and cook) with my best friend's family. Sleeping on a rocking boat, surrounded by water was pretty peaceful.Kelly Polarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10968381456100611120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8433839509609523237.post-7116054990236154432011-02-10T07:07:25.638-06:002011-02-10T07:07:25.638-06:00When I go sailing with my husband, sometimes follo...When I go sailing with my husband, sometimes following the wind takes us way out, so that land is nothing but a pencil smudge on the horizen. On a good day, when there aren't many motorboats around, all you can hear is the wind ruffling the sails, the clank of the halyard, and the hiss of the water streaming by the gunnels though if we get too far out, I feel kind of lonely.Lizahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16170701034715108039noreply@blogger.com
